Dear all…
Hope this finds you safe and well. On Monday we got the announcement that we will be moving back to Level 2 tonight (Wednesday 23rd). In light of this news we can now gather in groups of up to 100 taking in to account all the usual practices of social distancing, hygiene and contact tracing.
I will be continuing the Online Services for those who are not ready to attend. But I am happy to announce that this Sunday 27th September we will be gathering for worship at the 8am and 9.30am services. These will be Holy Communion services but we will only be having the sacrament in 1 kind, just the bread. This will be administered by me.
There is unfortunately no singing under Level 2 but we will have music at the start, communion and end. There will be no Contemplative Service this Sunday either as we will look to start this once we can sing again.
I will also manage the readings and prayers at least for this Sunday as we get used to gathering once again. I will look to have someone assist me at the altar and sidespeople to count the offertory. I will send a separate email about that.
We now have a QR code set up for the church so if you do have a smart phone it is easier to sign in via the Covid Tracer app. This can be found either on the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. Search COVID Tracer NZ and you will find it.
Finally we are going to be cleaning the church between services so I would like 2 volunteers to help between the 8am and 9.30am service. If you could be at church at 8.45am that would be great. I will provide the equipment and cleaning product.
Look forward to seeing some of you on Sunday. And the rest of you in the near future.
Blessings.
