When it started in 2002, we called our community service offering “New Settlers”. It is a group where participants can benefit from increasing their fluency in English, learning new words and improving their ability to live successfully in this country. The programme aims towards creating a welcoming living place for our increasing diversity of people.
Eric Bowater coordinates this service along with the help of Dev Mooten. New Settlers meets on Mondays at 10am (except for public holidays and school holidays.) If you are interested in joining please contact Eric on email@example.com
Our choir sings informally as a group on Sundays at the 9.30am service, and also forms for special times of the year. Highlights have included inductions services, Good Friday, a Musicians’ Service, and the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols. If you are a competent singer and interested in joining the choir, we would be very pleased to hear from you, as new members are most welcome. Please contact Lorelle George at firstname.lastname@example.org
Our library continues to serve the parish and the community by offering a range of books covering many different approaches to Christian faith in the world today. Each month a handful of new titles are added, and about the same number are withdrawn during the year, having not been borrowed for about 3 years. New additions are briefly described in the monthly newsletter to catch your interest. They are all bought second-hand or sale price, or donated, as brand-new books cost $30-$50 each. Our Library can be found on the right hand side of the church as you enter the nave. Margaret Bowater manages our library.
